Outside Plant Engineer III, Telecommunications

Job overview

The Outside Plant Engineer III, Telecommunications role is hybrid and/or field-based, with a preferred location in the Denver, Fort Collins, or Colorado Springs region. Compensation is $36–$38 per hour. The engineer supports Lumen telecommunications network projects through Pearce Services. The engineer develops and validates outside plant designs and documentation for aerial, underground, buried, conduit, fiber, and copper infrastructure. Coordination with project, construction, permitting, utility, and vendor teams helps produce accurate, compliant, construction-ready network designs and maintain project records through completion.

What you'll do

• Develop and update OSP designs, work prints, routing plans, splicing information, bills of materials, and supporting documentation
• review routes for constructability, capacity, clearances, and conflicts
• support network planning
• perform or review field surveys and measurements
• verify compliance with NESC, Lumen, utility, and Pearce requirements
• prepare permit packages and support ROW, easement, joint-use, pole-attachment, and make-ready activities
• coordinate project schedules and deliverables
• maintain records in Lumen systems
• perform QA/QC reviews and prepare status reports.
