Optometric Medical Assistant

The Optometric Medical Assistant role is onsite in Jackson, MS. Compensation is $12–$14 per hour. The assistant supports doctors and patients in an optometry office. The role supports clinical operations by interviewing patients and documenting medical history, updating records, scheduling referrals, coding insurance claims, entering electronic medical record data, sending prescriptions to pharmacies, assisting with examinations, performing diagnostic and imaging tests, preparing and cleaning treatment rooms and instruments, and helping patients with contact lens orders.
