Crisis Counselor

What you'll do

• Conduct crisis assessments to determine appropriate level of care
• provide crisis interventions
• maintain working knowledge of civil involuntary detention procedures
• complete discharge, transition, and aftercare plans accurately and promptly
• provide lethal-means counseling and complete safety plans with clients
• follow evidence-based practice models
• maintain client records in accordance with agency and state regulations
• communicate with community partners, including law enforcement and emergency medical personnel
• support compliance with CARF and Department of Mental Health standards, certification requirements, and agency policies.
