Veterinary Assistant

The Veterinary Assistant role is onsite in Indianapolis, IN, and is full-time. The assistant supports veterinarians and veterinary technicians with animal care, examinations, treatments, and clinic operations. What you'll do

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries
• handle and restrain animals
• prepare and sterilize examination and surgical areas
• collect samples for basic laboratory tests
• administer medications and vaccinations under veterinary supervision
• feed, bathe, and exercise animals
• maintain medical records
• communicate with pet owners
• clean and stock the clinic
• greet clients, process payments, schedule appointments, and handle calls and follow-ups.
