Systems Engineer II – Space Systems

The Systems Engineer II – Space Systems role is onsite at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. Pay is $125,000–$130,000 per year. Bay Systems Consulting supports systems engineering and integration work for space and positioning, navigation, and timing enterprise efforts. The engineer integrates operational and ground-system requirements, supports modernization and risk analysis, and develops engineering processes and decision materials. The role contributes to system capability, sustainment, and coordination among government, military, and contractor stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Support the SE&I Operations Lead
• integrate requirements across operational and ground systems, hardware, software, and organizations
• provide engineering analysis and requirements development for modernization
• coordinate system-engineering process training
• support operations engineering and the GPS Warfighter Collaboration Cell when required
• assess risks and proposed changes
• develop and maintain systems-engineering processes
• assess baseline changes
• prepare operations and sustainment briefings and documentation
• participate in integrated product and sustainment activities
• provide on-call support for satellite subsystem maintenance, anomaly resolution, and special GPS activities.
