Ship Fitter

Job overview

The Ship Fitter role is onsite in Harvey, LA, with compensation up to $28 per hour based on experience. The position supports shipyard repair work on barges and boats.

What you'll do

• Lay out and fabricate metal structural parts, including plates, bulkheads, and frames, and brace them in position within ship hulls for welding

• use a hand torch to burn, wash, and bevel materials.
