The engineer performs power-system studies and contributes to short- and long-term transmission expansion planning. Modeling, reliability analysis, regulatory filings, and evaluation of system upgrades help support future load growth and integration of new resources.

What you'll do

• Perform load-flow contingency, short-circuit, dynamic-stability, and single-point-of-failure analyses
• model cooperative and member facilities in the FRCC Databank
• coordinate feasibility, system-impact, and facility studies
• prepare annual FERC-715 and FRCC Form 13 filings and update the FRCC Transmission Map
• support technical, planning, and operational studies
• develop study automation scripts and transmission-planning databases.
