What you'll do

• Empower students by teaching an inclusive, culturally responsive curriculum.
• Guide students to analyze literary and non-narrative texts, assess author's purpose, write in various genres, and grapple with meaningful questions in student-led discourse.
• Create an inclusive and safe environment.
• Guide students to choose books independently.
• Meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze student work and assessments.
• Implement strategies to differentiate instruction.
• Build positive relationships with students.
• Partner with families.
• Engage in professional development, mentorship, and coaching.
• Participate in school-wide meetings.
• Partner with grade level team.

What we're looking for

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience

1-2 years experience preferred.
