What you'll do

• Submit and review insurance claims for accuracy and coding
• follow up on unpaid, rejected, and denied claims
• resolve billing and payment discrepancies
• post insurance and patient payments
• work accounts receivable and aging reports
• verify eligibility and benefits
• obtain prior authorizations and referrals as assigned
• communicate with insurers
• answer patient billing questions
• maintain documentation and confidentiality
• and collaborate with providers and staff on coding and documentation issues.
