Oracle Database Developer

Job overview

The Oracle Database Developer role is hybrid in Merrifield, Virginia, with one remote day per week. Compensation is $100,000–$125,000 annually on a W-2 basis. The role supports a federal client’s existing application and software lifecycle. The developer contributes to application reliability and delivery through database development, software development and testing, analysis and design, production support, and collaboration with software engineers. The position is a long-term contract with possible conversion and requires eligibility for the client’s clearance process.

What you'll do

• Support an existing Java/Eclipse/WebSphere application
• perform software development and testing across the software lifecycle
• develop Oracle databases using PL/SQL and SQL optimization
• use C/C++, UNIX/Linux shell scripting, Perl, and Windows
• perform analysis and design
• support production issues
• coordinate independently and with software engineers.
