The Pediatric Dental Assistant works onsite in Tallahassee, FL, on daytime eight-hour shifts. Pay starts at $18.00 per hour. SmileWorks Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics provides pediatric dental and orthodontic care for children and families. The assistant supports dentists during procedures and helps maintain safe, organized clinical operations. The role also contributes to patient and parent education, accurate records, and smooth patient flow.

What you'll do

• Assist the dentist during pediatric dental and orthodontic procedures
• prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
• take and process dental radiographs in compliance with Florida regulations
• educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• maintain patient records
• follow infection-control, sterilization, and safety protocols
• support patient flow and scheduling as needed.

Why this role
