MRI Technologist, onsite, Pflugerville, TX. Compensation is not specified. St. David's North Austin Medical Center is a full-service medical center providing comprehensive medical care. As an MRI Technologist, you will perform MRI scans and take radiographs according to the standards and practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists to assist in diagnosis or treatment. You will prepare patients for procedures, complete required documentation, administer contrast, produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality, label images, and communicate pertinent information to the interpreting radiologist.

What you'll do

• Prepare patients for procedures
• providing instructions in order to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety. Complete required documentation on forms, logs, work station and Meditech. Administer contrast using proper technique. Produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients. Label images and identify according to protocol. Communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologist in a timely manner.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate of an educational program in radiology or MRI accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) OR graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology

Experience

1-2 years experience preferred
