What you'll do

• Verify patient identity and physician orders
• perform radiographic imaging of bones, tissues, and organs
• explain procedures and answer patient questions
• position patients, including those with limited mobility
• use lead shields as needed to limit radiation exposure
• ensure image quality
• work with radiologists to determine whether further tests are needed
• report equipment problems
• maintain procedure records
• communicate with healthcare providers
• and protect patient confidentiality.
