Global Logistics Manager

The Global Logistics Manager role is onsite in Herndon, VA, with approximately 25% domestic and international travel. Compensation is $90,900–$113,800 per year. The manager plans and coordinates cargo transportation from initial planning through customs clearance and final delivery. By managing multimodal shipments, documentation, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination, the role helps projects move equipment and materials safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute domestic and international transportation of commercial and U.S. Government equipment, materials, and project cargo
• manage shipments through customs clearance and delivery
• develop transportation plans for routing, schedules, costs, carriers, and resources
• coordinate air, ocean, ground, freight forwarding, warehousing, and destination services
• prepare import/export and transportation documentation
• ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, CBP, and applicable trade and transportation regulations
• prepare and review HAZMAT/Dangerous Goods shipping documentation
• track cargo and communicate status
• source carriers, evaluate quotes, and negotiate rates
• identify and resolve transportation or compliance issues.
