The Payroll Administrator role is hybrid eligible in Denver, CO. Pay is $60,000–$70,000 per year, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Volunteers of America Colorado is a nonprofit, faith-based organization providing housing, emergency shelter, hunger and nutrition services, and other community support programs. The administrator manages accurate and timely payroll while maintaining compliance and protecting sensitive employee information. The role supports employees and managers, coordinates payroll-related benefits and accounting, and works with Accounting, IT, and People & Culture on HRIS processes.

What you'll do

• Process biweekly and monthly payroll and requested off-cycle checks
• verify timecards, earnings, and deductions
• maintain employee records and payroll data
• prepare payroll reports and tax returns
• respond to employee inquiries
• support HRIS workflows
• process benefit deductions and payments
• reconcile payroll accounts and invoices
• enter payroll data in Sage Intacct
• conduct payroll audits and identify process improvements.
