CNC Plasma and Oxy-Fuel Operator, First Shift

The CNC Plasma and Oxy-Fuel Operator role is onsite in Carter Lake, IA, and pays $20–$23 per hour, depending on experience, plus a $3,000 hiring bonus. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with Fridays off. PVS Structures, part of Owen Industries, fabricates structural steel for complex projects. The operator sets up and runs an MG CNC burn table to cut steel plate accurately and efficiently. The role also inspects parts, maintains production records and equipment, follows safety procedures, and provides direction to helpers as assigned.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate an MG CNC burn table using plasma and oxy-fuel processes
• review work orders, drawings, layouts, and programs
• verify material and cutting parameters
• monitor cut quality
• inspect parts and document production
• perform routine cleaning and maintenance
• follow PPE, hot-work, fire-prevention, and lockout/tagout procedures
• train and direct helpers as assigned.
