What you'll do

• Provide staff and hospital education on pharmaceutical care and medication management
• monitor pharmaceutical use, costs, and patient outcomes
• identify and implement improvement opportunities
• procure medications and supplies cost-effectively
• monitor staffing, scheduling, clinical programs, protocols, procurement, and pharmaceutical waste
• use the electronic health record for clinical and operational tasks
• perform non-sterile compounding and coordinate sterile IV products
• oversee automated dispensing cabinet restocking and documentation
• verify medication orders
• answer drug information questions
• participate in medication reconciliation and interdisciplinary activities
• educate patients about medication regimens
• maintain pharmacy compliance and privacy practices.
