Electronics Repair Technician

Job overview

The Electronics Repair Technician role is onsite in Chula Vista, CA. Compensation is $28–$36 per hour. TDK-Lambda Americas designs power supplies used in medical, industrial, defense, and other mission-critical industries. The technician inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and tests power supplies and other electronic products, helping ensure they meet quality, safety, and performance standards. The role also documents findings and works with Engineering, Quality, and Production to address recurring failures and improve repair processes.

What you'll do

• Inspect incoming equipment
• troubleshoot component-, circuit-board-, subassembly-, and system-level failures
• use electronic test equipment and schematics
• repair or replace components
• perform soldering, desoldering, rework, and mechanical repairs
• test repaired products
• document repairs and test results
• communicate recurring failures
• follow ESD, calibration, safety, and quality procedures
• support continuous improvement.
