Job overview

The Designer role is onsite in San Francisco, CA, with designated in-office days and occasional evening work or schedule flexibility for performances, events, and critical production periods. Compensation is $85,000 per year. The designer supports SFJAZZ performances, education programs, fundraising, and institutional initiatives as part of the Marketing Team. The role develops and produces accurate, engaging print and digital materials that communicate SFJAZZ programs and initiatives. Managing projects from brief through delivery, the designer applies brand standards, checks production quality, incorporates feedback, and coordinates with colleagues to meet deadlines and maintain consistent communications.

What you'll do

• Design advertising, brochures, program books, posters, web and social graphics, email assets, presentations, and signage
• develop concepts for major assignments
• apply SFJAZZ brand standards
• prepare print-ready and digital files
• proof content and verify details against approved sources
• incorporate feedback and obtain required approvals
• manage projects from brief to delivery
• maintain project status in Asana
• flag missing information, conflicting feedback, workload concerns, and deadline risks
• organize source files, templates, linked assets, and deliverables.
