The CDL Boom Truck Driver and Knuckle-Boom Operator role reports to the truck’s base in Newark, NJ, with workdays that may end in New York City or Newark. Pay is $32–$36 per hour, depending on experience. Prince Lumber supplies lumber, plywood, doors, hardware, and other building materials throughout the Tri-state area. The driver delivers and places building materials using a truck-mounted articulating boom loader, coordinating with the warehouse and customers. The role requires safe equipment operation, load and capacity calculations, DOT compliance, delivery documentation, and professional customer service.

What you'll do

• Operate a boom truck and truck-mounted articulating boom loader
• load and unload building materials
• rig, hoist, and place materials at delivery sites
• coordinate with the warehouse to confirm loads
• calculate load weights and crane capacities
• check clearances and surrounding conditions
• comply with vehicle weight limits and DOT regulations
• inspect truck, boom, rigging, and equipment
• plan delivery routes
• obtain proof-of-delivery photos and signatures
• pick up customer returns when assigned
• maintain a clean truck and safe equipment
• provide courteous service.
