Code Enforcement Officer

Job overview

The officer investigates and addresses code violations, communicates requirements and alternatives to the public and property stakeholders, and maintains records that support fair and effective enforcement.

What you'll do

• Apply codes, ordinances, laws, and regulations related to code abatement
• investigate and enforce violations
• maintain records, logs, and reports
• respond to complaints and service requests
• communicate with the public, contractors, builders, developers, engineers, architects, and property owners
• obtain inspection warrants and court documents
• operate photography and office equipment.
