The Production Lead, Coffee Roastery role is onsite in Boulder, CO. Compensation is $26.00 per hour. Boxcar Coffee Roasters is a food and beverage company whose mission is to uplift lives through coffee, food, and support for employees, customers, and partners. The lead owns the roastery’s daily production flow, from order intake through delivery, while working hands-on in roasting and fulfillment. The role improves systems, maintains quality and organization, and guides the production team so orders are completed on time.

What you'll do

• Plan and schedule roasting and fulfillment based on demand
• ensure orders ship on time
• roast coffee on vintage Probat roasters to quality standards
• identify and implement process and layout improvements
• maintain a clean, organized roastery
• source and order supplies
• participate in weekly meetings with the Green Buyer and daily quality-control cuppings
• lead and delegate daily team work
• act as shift lead with the Green Buyer
• train and cover preventive equipment maintenance, wholesale delivery routes, and cold brew production
• maintain procedures.
