Product Design Engineer

The Product Design Engineer role is onsite in Tulsa, OK, on a Monday–Friday schedule. Compensation is not specified. American Power Innovations designs and builds custom-engineered electrical power distribution equipment at its Tulsa plant. The engineer develops electrical designs for modular power distribution centers and guides assigned projects from concept through production release. The work supports product development, customer specifications, and the company’s product and growth goals.

What you'll do

• Create engineering drawings, bills of material, and assemblies
• manage assigned projects from conception through production release
• coordinate schedules and report progress
• work with sales and customers to determine specifications
• design products and perform calculations
• develop PDC layouts, interconnecting diagrams, raceway and conductor schedules, and panelboard layouts
• maintain part numbers and drawing revisions in the MRP system
• assist with test plans, manufacturing processes, product presentations, manuals, and procurement.
