Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional Behavioral Health

The Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) works onsite in Denver or Cañon City, CO, on a long-term contract basis. What you'll do

• Administering routine, emergency, and involuntary medications as ordered
• Monitoring medication compliance and treatment response
• Providing education related to SUDs, psychiatric conditions, medications, and treatment
• Supporting patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders
• Participating in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
• Facilitating prescribed individual and group therapeutic/educational sessions
• Performing urine testing as required
• Providing general nursing assessment, monitoring, documentation, and patient care
• Collaborating with medical, psychiatric, behavioral health, and correctional professionals
• Maintaining professional standards of care within a secure correctional environment
