Revenue Cycle Account Reimbursement Specialist

The Revenue Cycle Account Reimbursement Specialist role is hybrid in Charlotte, NC, with two remote days per week after training. Pay is $22–$28 per hour. The role partners with coding, charge capture, insurance verification, reimbursement, and clinical teams. The specialist works complex denials, appeals, and claim follow-up to resolve reimbursement issues and help reduce preventable denials. The role also identifies payment trends and supports workflow improvements through research and coordination with internal teams.

What you'll do

• Handle complex insurance denials and appeals
• prepare first- and second-level appeals and reconsiderations
• work Medicare appeals, including cases progressing to administrative or judicial hearings
• follow up on unpaid and underpaid claims
• research reimbursement issues
• interpret EOBs and payer correspondence
• identify denial, underpayment, and overpayment trends
• partner with related teams and help improve workflows.
