Full-Time Line Cook

The Full-Time Line Cook role is onsite in Portland, ME, working 40 hours per week. Compensation is $25 per hour. The cook joins Bissell Brothers’ Kitchen Team and reports to the Head Chef. The line cook prepares ingredients and food using kitchen equipment and cooking methods while maintaining sanitation, organization, and consistent product standards. The role supports kitchen service and the customer experience through teamwork and communication with kitchen leadership.

What you'll do

• Follow sanitation and food handling and storage procedures
• prepare ingredients using kitchen equipment and methods including chopping, mixing, frying, sautéing, and grilling
• maintain kitchen and equipment cleanliness
• produce consistent products in a fast-paced environment
• clean kitchen areas before and after service
• communicate low item quantities to chefs and lead line cooks.
