The role provides senior-level policy analysis and legislative and regulatory advocacy on health insurance issues. It develops advocacy positions and tools, monitors state policy activity, and represents AHIP in discussions with policymakers and industry stakeholders to advance policy priorities.

What you'll do

• Develop advocacy positions and legislative or regulatory language
• track state priorities and policy trends
• serve as policy lead on legislative models
• conduct research and prepare fact sheets, briefs, testimony, comment letters, position statements, and talking points
• monitor and analyze legislation and regulations
• respond to member and staff questions
• contribute to 50-state research
• lead discussions with member plans and other stakeholders
• represent AHIP at conferences and meetings with legislators, regulators, and industry stakeholders.

Why this role
