The Senior Marine Designer (Mechanical) role is primarily onsite in Curtis Bay, MD, supporting the U.S. Coast Guard Ship Design Team at the Surface Forces Logistics Center in Baltimore. Compensation is $145,000–$175,000 per year. THOR Solutions provides mission-critical support to government and commercial maritime customers. The designer develops and updates ship and boat system models and drawings, supporting new designs and recapitalization of existing vessels. The work helps naval architects and marine engineers evaluate configurations and deliver coordinated design documentation.

Why this role

Up to 10% travel is anticipated for ship checks. Requires 20 years of 3D drawing experience with AutoCAD or equivalent and at least three years working with marine piping; eligibility for a Secret security clearance is required after hire.
