Billing Representative

The representative supports accurate billing operations by verifying insurance, handling authorizations and estimates, monitoring assigned tasks, and processing payments and related documents. The work helps patients and internal teams receive timely billing communications and supports the department’s daily workflow.

What you'll do

• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
• complete prior authorizations for scheduled outpatient procedures and services
• provide service estimate and Good Faith Estimate letters
• monitor assigned tasks and Medicaid Travel task lists and voicemail
• assist with monthly insurance and patient refunds
• prepare legal documents as required
• process billing mail
• prepare deposits
• process patient payments when the third-party billing team is unavailable
• participate in annual training.
