What you'll do

• Assist the department manager in providing prompt, friendly customer service and presenting fresh, quality products at competitive prices.
• Support customers, answer calls and take product orders, maintain department standards, check freshness and rotate or replenish displays, prepare cutting lists, offer meal suggestions, handle customer issues, conduct cutting tests, order items, maintain temperatures and storage procedures, train employees, and cut, grind, tenderize, wrap, weigh, and label products.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness, follow company policies, and assume management duties when the department manager is absent.
