The Operations Supervisor, 3rd Shift role is onsite in Birmingham, AL, working 8:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. Compensation is $27.93–$41.89 per hour. The role supports O’Neal Steel’s steel service center operations and customer delivery commitments. The supervisor leads warehouse, delivery, and shop-floor work to meet quality, delivery, safety, and cost standards. The role coordinates production schedules, staffing, training, and continuous improvement while serving as a liaison between hourly employees and management.

What you'll do

• Supervise warehouse and delivery employees, schedules, performance, productivity, and payroll
• ensure staff have training, instructions, and tools
• coordinate production schedules and cross-training
• oversee shop activities and product quality
• assign work and overtime to meet delivery dates
• apply lean manufacturing principles
• evaluate service levels and staffing
• coordinate equipment maintenance
• administer employee policies and work rules
• monitor budgets and goals
• resolve customer problems
• improve safety and housekeeping
• track KPI targets
• prepare production schedules, coordinate workflow, adjust schedules, expedite overdue orders, use ShopLogix, communicate with sales, and resolve processing variances.
