What you'll do

• Communicate with customs brokers, FDA, USDA, and drayage providers about import-cargo schedules, shipping documents, and permits
• update shipping schedules and item records
• provide administrative and clerical support
• prepare purchase orders and reports
• research vendors, prices, and specifications
• purchase items and food and prepare food for tasting meetings
• maintain purchasing records
• monitor stock and purchasing needs
• track orders and delivery
• update databases
• research pricing and evaluate vendor offers
• prepare cost analyses.
