Patient Care Technician — Dialysis

What you'll do

• Set up hemodialysis machines
• greet patients and report concerns to the lead nurse
• prepare vascular access
• initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis according to procedures
• take and document vital signs and fluid removal
• perform access cannulation and report unusual findings
• monitor patients and equipment
• follow infection-control practices
• support patient safety, comfort, and daily living needs
• respond to emergencies.
