What you'll do

• Monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart-rate patterns
• administer medications per physician orders
• assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• provide immediate newborn assessment and care
• educate patients and families about labor, pain management, and postpartum recovery
• respond to obstetric emergencies.
