The Special Procedures Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing treatments and procedures in the Cath Lab and the Special Procedures unit. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, assisting physicians during procedures, maintaining and stocking the unit, serving as a resource for surgical scheduling, documenting patient activity, and educating patients and families.

What you'll do

• Collect specimens for testing.
• Assist physician during procedure.
• You will maintain and stock Special Procedure area.
• Be a resource for Surgical Scheduling relative to bookings.
• Provide relevant and complete documentation on patient related activity.
• Educate patient and family related to procedure, medications, follow-up home care.
• Assume responsibility to stay current with available training and/or literature to ensure quality patient care in Special Procedures.

Associate Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred
