What you'll do
- Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary mechanical engineering team
- manage capacity and competency planning
- serve as technical and process interface to the Germany MODI team and collaborate with the U.S. Application team
- provide engineering escalation and production support
- oversee mechanical modifications and design changes
- ensure BOM, configuration, and engineering-change execution in PLM/SAP
- lead design-to-cost and value-engineering work
- support local supplier qualification and component substitutions
- coordinate sustaining work packages and customer modifications
- review designs, tolerance analyses, and material selections
- report department performance, release status, and cost-saving metrics.
