What you'll do

• Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families
• Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice
• Performs advanced nursing activities including assisting with procedures using conscious sedation, IV placement, and monitoring patients in recovery
• Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate
• Provides health and wellness education
• Acts as preceptor and supports staff development
• Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator with standing orders
• Assesses patients in procedural area
• Initiates IV therapy
• Triage phone calls
• Provides education to patients
• Orders, stocks, and maintains supplies
• Performs urine drug screens
• Assists Injectionists with procedures
• Performs patient bedside lab testing
• Completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.
