The Overnight Emergency Veterinarian role is onsite in Raritan, NJ. Compensation is not specified in the posting’s pay range. AnimERge is a specialty and emergency veterinary center within PetVet Care Centers, whose mission is to improve the lives of animals and people through compassionate care. The veterinarian provides emergency clinical care, including patient examinations, diagnostic work-ups, procedures, surgery, client education, and medical recordkeeping. The role also supports hospital protocols and case monitoring while working with veterinary, technician, and support teams; block scheduling groups overnight shifts with time off between assignments.

What you'll do

• Conduct patient exams and medical work-ups
• communicate with and educate clients
• perform diagnostic procedures and surgery
• maintain medical records
• prescribe medications and follow controlled-substance protocols
• coordinate with the Hospital Manager on priorities
• evaluate hospital protocols
• monitor cases and attend rounds when possible
• participate in practice updates and training.
