Job overview

The Field Data Collector role is onsite in Pittsburgh, PA; compensation is $23.18 per hour. The role supports Allegheny County Department of Human Services’ effort to understand unsheltered populations and improve services for people in need. The collector follows predefined routes and records basic information about encampments and unsheltered sleeping locations using a survey tool. Consistent field data helps the County track visible tents, changing trends, and areas requiring follow-up.

What you'll do

• Bike approximately 15 miles once or twice per week in Pittsburgh, or use another allowable form of transportation, and complete app-based surveys documenting encampment conditions.
• Communicate weekly or more often with a supervisor or county staff to review collected information.
• Requires a bicycle or other suitable transportation, high school diploma or equivalent plus relevant business or human services experience (or equivalent combination), and Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances.
