The Payroll Specialist/Administrator — Hourly Consultant role is hybrid, with work onsite at client locations and remotely from home in the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul area. The pay range is $35–$45 per hour. Growth Operators provides finance, accounting, human resources, transaction advisory, strategy, and technology services to growing companies. The consultant delivers payroll services across client engagements, handling payroll processing, compliance, reconciliations, reporting, and employee or manager inquiries. The role also supports implementations, year-end close, process improvement, internal controls, and payroll integrations as client needs require.

What you'll do

• Process end-to-end payroll for multiple clients
• review time and attendance
• enter and audit payroll changes
• conduct payroll audits and reconciliations
• manage payroll tax compliance and filings
• reconcile benefit and retirement deductions
• respond to employee and manager inquiries
• prepare reports
• support system implementations, year-end close, process improvement, internal controls, and M&A integrations
• document procedures.
