Principal Electrical Engineer

Job overview

The Principal Electrical Engineer role is onsite in Austin, TX. Compensation is $153,700–$197,600 per year. The engineer will support ANS, a consulting engineering firm working on solar and battery storage projects and other engineering work. The role leads electrical system design and development, performs feasibility studies and power-system modeling, and produces technical drawings and documentation. It also provides technical leadership through drawing reviews, engineering stamps, mentorship, team leadership, and contributions to business development and proposals.

What you'll do

• Lead electrical system design and development for solar and battery storage projects
• conduct feasibility studies, power-system modeling, and electrical calculations
• create and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• analyze designs for compliance with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and NERC standards
• stamp engineering drawings
• mentor and lead teams
• contribute technical expertise to business development and proposals.
