What you'll do

• Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiologic positioning and exposure techniques.
• Maintain knowledge about radiation protection and safety.
• Prepare for and assist the physician in the completion of intricate radiologic examinations.
• Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with state, federal, and hospital regulations.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for patient populations served in this department.
• Assess patients' and families' ability to learn and incorporate teaching.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment and procedures for the radiological department.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduation from an accredited education program in Radiologic Technology.

Experience

Graduation from an accredited education program in Radiologic Technology. ARRT R.T. (R) (denotes successful completion of the ARRT certification examination) or registry eligible. Must be registry eligible and obtain ARRT within 6 months of the hire date; if not obtained, termination will occur. American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
