Software Leader

The Software Leader role is onsite in Sausalito, CA, with a stated compensation range of $180,000–$280,000 per year. This hands-on leader owns software architecture and execution across autonomy, controls, perception, onboard intelligence, and cloud infrastructure. The role combines production-level development with team building and cross-functional work to deliver integrated systems that can be tested and deployed with fire departments and emergency-response partners.

What you'll do

• Drive the software roadmap and technical execution across relevant systems
• write production-level code and build prototypes
• recruit, mentor, and manage software engineers
• establish engineering processes
• collaborate with hardware, product, and operations teams
• support testing, iteration, and deployment with fire departments and emergency-response partners
• develop simulation and testing environments.
