The Cook role is onsite in Ebensburg, PA. Pay is $11.77 per hour. The position supports the Community Action Partnership of Cambria County’s child and adult care food program. The cook coordinates volume meal preparation and kitchen operations to provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks while meeting dietary needs and food-safety requirements. The role also maintains program records, supports kitchen staff, and helps ensure children are appropriately supervised when assigned to a center.

What you'll do

• Coordinate daily volume food preparation for breakfast, lunch, and snacks
• maintain CACFP records for food usage, menu changes, inventory, meal counts, allergies, and ordering
• oversee kitchen staff’s cooking and sanitation practices
• maintain equipment and clean and sanitize the kitchen
• provide correct substitutions for children with allergies and special diets
• set tables and prepare food for parent and evening meetings
• conduct mini training sessions
• report operational and safety issues
• assist with phone and door as needed
• attend required meetings and training
• perform overnight travel as required.
