What you'll do
- Performs those duties directly involved with administering a variety of nuclear isotopes for the purpose of scanning for and detecting pathology.
- Regulates the equipment used to scan for the isotope and send images to PACS.
- Assists in the daily operation of the Nuclear Medicine Department.
- Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees.
- Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures.
- Performs a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
- Performs test in-patients and out-patients.
- Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
- Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlines in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
- Demonstrates industry in radiation safety.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.

- Graduate of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine or Radiographer
- Experience
- Graduate of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine or Radiographer; Certified Radiology Technologist with the Florida Department of Health; Certified CT Tech, MRI Tech, Nuclear Med Tech, Ultrasonography, or Mammography AART Certification in Nuclear Medicine AART; Certification in Radiology, CTI, MRI, Ultrasound or Mammography; Basic Life Support
