The Bilingual Special Education Paraprofessional role is onsite in Chicago, IL; compensation is determined under the collective bargaining agreement based on relevant experience. The role supports students and teachers at Namaste Charter School. The paraprofessional implements student services and supports under teacher guidance, adapts activities to student needs, and helps maintain an inclusive learning environment. The position also supports communication with linguistically and culturally diverse students and families and carries out services identified in students' IEPs.

What you'll do

• Implement student supports and interventions under teacher guidance, including note-taking, movement breaks, technology use, small-group or one-to-one practice, and skill review.
• Help prepare materials and curricular modifications, communicate with team members about student needs and progress, assist with personal care and behavior plans as identified in IEPs, document service delivery, and facilitate communication with linguistically and culturally diverse families.
