Job overview

The Child Care Teacher, Discovery Center role is onsite in West Bend, WI, paying $17–$20 per hour. The teacher plans and implements daily activities for Kettle Moraine YMCA child care programs, supporting the YMCA’s youth development and community mission. The role provides age-appropriate learning and supervision in a safe, orderly setting while building positive relationships with children, families, coworkers, and community members. It contributes to children’s growth and self-esteem through curriculum, daily care, and supportive communication.

What you'll do

• Plan and implement daily child care activities and age-appropriate curriculum.
• Follow Wisconsin group child care licensing rules and YMCA policies.
• Supervise and interact with children, maintain a safe and orderly environment, and assist with meal and snack preparation.
• Mentor assistants and volunteers, communicate with parents and coworkers, and promptly report concerns.
• Complete required annual Bloodborne Pathogens and Child Abuse Prevention training.
