Implementations Network Engineer III, onsite, Scott Air Force Base, IL. Salary $73,450.00 - $132,775.00 per year. Leidos is seeking an Implementations Network Engineer to perform installation oversight, configuration, testing, monitoring, servicing of network equipment and activation of networks for projects supporting the Department of Defense networks. The role involves working directly with customers, solution architects, and vendor SMEs to implement changes and identify, analyze, and resolve issues, ensuring Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs) are in place and accurate.

What you'll do

• Perform customer coordination, Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A), execution of all reporting functions, and complete data input associated with new service activations to ensure they are implemented in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) standards.
• Work directly with customers, solution architects and vendor SMEs to implement changes and also identify, analyze, and resolve issue.
• Manage Service Orders, in accordance with Change Management procedures.
• Ensure Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs) are in place and accurate for scheduled network additions and changes.
• Initiate network device configurations using configlets.
• Analyze DISN and databases to validate and implement customer requirements.
• Design and implementation of solutions to highly technical problems through testing, documentation and modification of configurations on network devices.
• Coordinate and program customer circuit activation with commercial vendors to establish the engineered solution for end-to-end connectivity.
• Perform network monitoring to assess if deployed changes have caused impacts to customer traffic using provided expectations of traffic behavior, lessons learned, and customer reporting.
• Utilize systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional requirements in support of customer resources.
• Engage with the DISA project managers and/or customers to resolve issues with incomplete or unclear requirements.
• Reach out to stakeholders and facilitate approvals as necessary to ensure continual forward progress of the service request.

What we're looking for

Education

BS and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience. (Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.)
