The role supports children’s social-emotional, cognitive, language, literacy, physical, and adaptive development while preparing eligible children for kindergarten.

What you'll do

• Implement VPK standards and requirements
• develop and deliver developmentally appropriate preschool programming
• plan activities for children’s physical, emotional, intellectual, and social-emotional needs
• maintain a clean, safe classroom
• implement Creative Curriculum lesson plans
• establish routines and provide positive guidance
• complete VPK assessments and required data
• hold parent-teacher conferences
• collaborate with the Instructional Specialist on compliance
• observe and document progress
• include children with special needs
• communicate with parents and guardians
• maintain portfolios and developmental assessments.

Why this role

Requires an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and five years of lead preschool teaching experience. A bachelor’s degree or specified early childhood coursework and mandated training are preferred; VPK training is required.
