The Substance Use Disorder Counselor — Alcohol and Other Drugs role is an onsite, full-time position in Bakersfield, CA, paying $28 per hour. The role supports stabilization, recovery skills, relapse prevention, and discharge and reentry planning through trauma-informed, culturally responsive, strength-based care.

What you'll do

• Conduct intakes, ASAM and level-of-care assessments, and diagnostic determinations
• create treatment plans and evaluate progress
• provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and collateral services
• complete timely documentation
• review charts and treatment plans for compliance
• support family participation and referrals
• facilitate placement and transportation as needed
• maintain confidentiality
• and participate in meetings, consultations, and training.
